Terms and Conditions
1. The seller and contact details
Rustle Sounds is operated by Verdant Rustle Ltd, a limited company based in the United Kingdom. In these terms, “the seller” means Verdant Rustle Ltd. I’m Sergiu Micu, the person behind Rustle Sounds and your contact for questions and orders.
Website: rustlesounds.com. Email: contact@rustlesounds.com. You can also use the contact page. Please include your order reference when asking about a purchase. Contact me for return instructions; requesting instructions does not limit your cancellation rights.
2. Scope
These terms explain how this website may be used and the basis on which the seller supplies physical goods and digital content. Product descriptions and any licence supplied before purchase form part of the relevant order.
These sales terms apply to orders accepted through the shop.
Nothing in these terms removes rights that consumers have under applicable law. A product-specific provision cannot override a mandatory consumer right.
3. Orders and payment
Before submitting an order, check the product, format, quantity, variations, compatibility requirements and contact details. A sound-library download, a PDF and a printed book are different products; the selected option determines what is supplied.
Prices, currency, applicable taxes and delivery charges must be shown before you commit to payment. The seller does not add optional paid extras without your agreement.
An automated receipt acknowledges your order. The seller accepts it when the seller sends an express acceptance, dispatch the goods or make the purchased digital content available, whichever happens first.
If an order cannot be fulfilled, the seller will explain the problem and refund any amount paid for the unfulfilled part. The seller will not substitute a different product or charge a higher price without your agreement.
4. Product information
Read the individual listing for what is included, file formats, sample rate and bit depth where relevant, dimensions, available options and compatibility. Audio previews and photographs help describe a product; any material limitations or differences must be disclosed before purchase.
Downloadable products require a suitable device, internet access and compatible software. The seller will identify known technical requirements in the listing. Please ask before ordering if a requirement is unclear.
5. Delivery and access
The seller offers worldwide shipping of physical goods via Royal Mail, subject to service availability and destination restrictions. Shipping costs and available delivery estimates are shown before purchase. Unless a different period is agreed, the seller will deliver UK consumer orders within 30 days. Contact me before ordering if you need an item by a particular date.
If delivery is delayed or a parcel is missing, contact me so I can investigate and explain your options. For consumer orders, risk normally remains with the seller until you or your nominated recipient takes physical possession, subject to the legal exception for a carrier you independently commission.
Digital content is supplied through the download method described at checkout or in your order confirmation. Any download-count or access-expiry limit must be disclosed before purchase. Keep a backup of files you are entitled to retain. Contact me if a link fails or a supplied file cannot be opened.
International delivery can be affected by customs processing and local postal services. Any import taxes, duties or handling charges not collected at checkout may be payable to the destination authorities or carrier. The seller will disclose any known charges or the possibility of additional charges before purchase where required by law.
6. Sound-library licensing
Single-user, royalty-free sound licence. Each purchase licenses one individual user. A company may purchase for one designated user; additional users need their own licences.
On payment, the licensed user receives a non-exclusive licence to edit and incorporate purchased sounds into their own personal or commercial productions, including music, film, television, games, podcasts and other finished media. The licence is worldwide and perpetual for authorised uses. No additional royalty is payable to Rustle Sounds for those uses.
Copyright in the source recordings remains with its owner. You may deliver finished productions to clients and distributors, but may not sell, share, sublicense or redistribute the source sounds as standalone files, sample packs, sound libraries or competing assets, including altered versions.
The licensed user may keep source files on their own working devices and backups. The source files must not be placed in a shared team library or made available to other users. Finished productions may be delivered to clients without a separate sound licence for the client, provided the source sounds are not supplied for reuse. Sounds embedded in games or applications must not be offered as an openly reusable asset library.
You must not claim exclusive ownership of the source recordings or register them with automated rights-management systems in a way that blocks other lawful licensees. Any third-party rights or restrictions identified in a product listing remain applicable.
7. Books and other digital resources
Buying a printed book transfers ownership of that physical copy, not its copyright. Buying a PDF or other digital publication grants the use described in its listing or accompanying licence. It does not by itself permit public uploading, resale of copies or redistribution.
Permissions for classroom, group or institutional copying must be agreed where required. Nothing here restricts a use that copyright law permits without permission.
8. Changing your mind about physical goods
For UK consumer distance purchases, you normally have 14 days after receipt to tell the seller you wish to cancel, followed by 14 days to return the goods. Contact me by email or use the cancellation form below.
Return costs are yours only where the seller told you this before purchase. Faulty or incorrect goods are dealt with separately. The seller refunds the price and basic outbound delivery charge; premium delivery upgrades need not be refunded. Refunds use the original payment method unless agreed otherwise, without a refund fee.
The seller may withhold reimbursement until the goods arrive or you provide evidence of return, whichever occurs first. The seller will refund you within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or evidence that you sent them back, whichever is earlier. If no goods were supplied, the seller will refund within 14 days of being informed of cancellation. A lawful deduction may reflect handling beyond what is needed to inspect the goods.
Some genuinely made-to-specification or personalised goods are exempt from change-of-mind cancellation. Selecting a standard option does not automatically make an item non-returnable. The seller will identify any applicable exception before purchase.
9. Cancelling digital content
For UK consumers, digital content normally has a 14-day cancellation period from the contract date. That right ends when supply begins only if you expressly agreed to supply during the cancellation period, acknowledged losing the right and received the required confirmation. Accepting general terms alone does not replace those steps. Rights concerning faulty content remain.
10. Faults and problems
Tell me if goods or downloads are faulty, do not match their description or are not supplied as agreed. Include your order reference and a description of the issue; reasonable evidence can help me investigate.
Your statutory remedies may include repair, replacement, a price reduction or a refund, depending on the product, problem and circumstances. Sale items retain the same statutory protection. The seller do not apply a blanket “no refunds” rule to digital products or custom goods.
Nothing here requires original packaging as a condition of exercising a statutory right, or limits a remedy to any optional warranty period.
11. Website use and privacy
Use the website lawfully. Do not attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, interfere with its operation or misuse another customer’s account. Keep your login details secure and report suspected unauthorised use.
Website text, artwork, recordings and other material remain protected by their owners’ rights. Viewing the website does not grant a production or redistribution licence for preview audio or other material.
See the Privacy Policy for information about personal-data handling. These terms do not replace a separate consent where one is required.
12. Responsibility and disputes
The seller remains responsible where applicable law makes the seller responsible. Nothing excludes liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
The seller do not promise that the website will always be uninterrupted. This does not remove obligations for paid products.
Please contact me first with a complaint so I can consider it and discuss a resolution. Applicable law determines which courts and laws govern a dispute. Nothing in these terms restricts mandatory consumer protections or any right to bring proceedings in your home jurisdiction.
13. Changes to these terms
The seller may update these terms for future use and orders. The version supplied when your contract is made continues to govern that order unless a lawful change is agreed. The seller will not retrospectively reduce an existing licence or statutory right by changing this page.
Effective date: 3 October 2026.
